TL;DR
The TradFi ecosystem has a solid and respected source of tools to track the ever-changing and unpredictable state of the market. This includes a range of news feeds, social commentators, press releases and market reports. For years this has been rolled up into a handy, though very expensive, service provided by Bloomberg, which they call their terminal.
Crypto is missing just this. There is a wide range of publishing and news outlets that cover the crypto landscape but a central, fast-paced and reliant aggregator - a one stop shop - is missing. The crypto terminal should be plugged into the most reliant and trusted sources of news but also incorporate a level of social commentary. Social media like Twitter are at the epicentre of everything crypto, the speed and depth of information released through it are invaluable.

Introduction
News and data aggregators have been a part of the professional ecosystem across most industries. Providing easy. reliable and very quick access to the latest events, releases, updates and trends, across said sectors. The terminal will provide this specifically for the crypto industry. Providing a place to keep
On top of the standard news feeds and market price action aggregation, we need to embrace decentralisation and community - the core pillars of crypto. Todo this the terminal will develop two separate but integrated product line that allows for a) social media to be integrated and reported with trust and a level of autonomous checking. Then b) to build a community-based journalistic reporting and verifying system.
Theory
Media Sources
The baseline of the terminal will be to deliver text-based updates, quickly. But we will also build tools to provide tracking of other media sources.
These will include;
Twitter spaces that are hosted by one of the Twitter accounts in the feeds list. We can also build on this with the customisation and allow the user to search for spaces with specific tag’s or users. Spaces will be tagged with LIVE when they are, allowing the user to follow through and listen to it.
Podcasts of notable publishers that the terminal posts can also be built into a ‘latest’ feed.
Technical Overview
Data Gathering
Data gathering will be maintained by a custom-built website scraper that looks at specific pages and grabs the articles and data. This is done on regular occasions, creating a very fast and reactive system that has delivered the article to Terminal before the publisher has posted it on socials.
Each news source has a custom-built scraper that allows for Terminal to provide the most accurate and efficient data gathering. As time goes on we will expand the sources list and increase the scope of tags/categories and user filtering and indexing.

Vision
The most basic and free aim of 3Terminal, and always will be, is to provide a simple, trusted and quick news aggregator for crypto/web3/NFTs. This will always be at the centre of what we do. We will continue to build tools and include more publishers that will enhance every users-lives. These will go on to be charting systems, wallet tracking and the ability to set notifications for their selected publishers. Some of these services will require migration to an account-based system. We will endeavour to keep this web3 and as decentralised as we can.
Once the basic version has been mastered we can look at creating a pay-for-service, including higher fidelity and deeply customisable UI’s. Adding tools that will bring more services into a central location for their convenience and speed. These users will be able to add their own news sources to their feed and have a higher level of control over-their feed in general.
We will note that the free and paid versions will have the same publishers and speed of delivery.
